Unless I'm missing something (which is entirely possible), I'm finding the process of selecting multiple events quite tedious. Let's say I have a long clip, chopped up in to many events, and my cursor is in the middle of the clip. I want to select all events to the right of the cursor to move them as a group. What I have to do is:
1) Zoom to an appropriate level - high enough to be able to grab the proper event, low enough not to have to scroll for many seconds as I select the events.
2) Switch to the Selection editing tool (three mouse clicks from the main menu).
3) Select all the events to the right of my cursor.
4) Hit "G" to group the events.
4) Hit Ctrl-D to return to the normal editing tool. Zoom back in and scroll to my desired location.
5) Move the grouped events as desired.
Very tedious.
What if there were "Select all events to right (or left) of cursor" and "Group all events ti right (or left) of cursor" commands? How much easier it would be.
Also, why is it so hard to switch between the various editing tools?
If I'm missing something, my apologize, and look forward to being enlightened. Otherwise, the above is my feature request.
Thanks.
