I work with many media clips in a given project, (180-200+). I know, "many" is relative. I shoot sporting events like football games. Since it is much easier to move clips into "Custom Bins" in Vegas Pro, is there a way that folders can be created based on Custom Bin names? This can be done manually, but it is way harder to select the appropriate clips in the file system versus inside Vegas Pro. A simple "Create Project Folder" button would be great. Question for the scripting gurus on this forum: Is this possible via a script of some sort?
My example would be: after shooting a sporting event, I import all of my clips into the generic media area, and then move the clips into Custom bins ie. "pregame, cheerleaders, game-footage, fans, b-roll, whatever". It would be so helpful to see Vegas create a matching folder structure which contains all of the "moved" clips in my project directory. And vice-versa, If I select a project folder that already contains MEDIA files that are in sub-folders, just import the sub folders as Custom Bins and keep the media files in the corresponding Custom bin.
This would be very useful if you needed to locate all the "Cheerleading" clips on the computer or NAS, and copy them to a portable drive to give them to a Cheer coach. Not that it has happened.
I know there are bigger things for the Magix team to work on, but I think this would really be useful to many.
