Field order error in default DVD PAL template (V40)

I believe that this should be "Interlaced,top field first" instead of "Interlaced, bottom field first".

Source captured from my VX2000 is correctly interpretted as "Interlaced, bottom field first" as per DV spec.

So just in case anyone is experiencing a lot of jitter in their mpeg rendered footage, try changing the field order in the Custom Template Video tab.

Can anyone confirm this? I'm about to start converting my DV home videos to DVD, and I'd like to use the correct setting. I'm pretty new to this NLE business, so rely heavily on other ppls advice at the moment.

DV is always lower filed first. I think that there is another post in which the original poster concluded that there was a fault in his original settings, i.e. not in the Vegas template.
