File conversion

After I have rendered a project in Vegas 4, is there a way I can convert that file into a Microsoft avi file?

When you choose "File/render as," Microsoft avi is the choice you automatically get. That file will play in your media player for example. Is that the info you were looking for? If not, give us a little more info.
