Hi,
I'd like to request that consideration be given to supporting .m2v files (Elementary Video Stream) in Vegas Video. My basic workflow is to edit video using another app and then once picture is locked, encode and export elementary streams in MPEG2 format using the Ligos or CCE encoder. I would then like to import these streams and do post production audio sweetening using Vegas Video, then export the .AC3 file which can be imported along with the original .m2v file into a DVD authoring package (which only accepts elementary streams).
While there are ways around this problem (exporting MUXed and non-MUXED versions of the movie from my editing app) it sure would be convenient and more efficient to be able to use the .m2v & .mpa files directly in Vegas.
Please give this request some serious consideration - I'd love to see it in the next version of Vegas (or better yet a service pack for VV4!).
Thanks,
/BILLW
