As far as I know, the file must be 23.97 (NTSC film) or 29.97. These are true NTSC files. Again, as far as I know, if DVDA is not going to re-render the video, the answer is no. If DVDA warns that it is going to render again the video file, then you can choose optimize and choose the correct frame rate as well as the bitrate (8,500 will do it OK).

Hello,

i looked under properties and i see various setting NTSC, NTSC Widescreen etc.. but i see nothing related to frame rate.. How do i maintain my 24 P files in Architect???

When you render the mpeg file from Vegas, choose the "DVD Architect 24p NTSC video stream" template.

There's nothing that needs to be set in DVDA. What will happen is the MPEG stream will get a flag added to it to tell the DVD player the material is 24p, and so the player will perform 2:3 pulldown if it needs too.

Go to File -> Optimize DVD, select the video in question, and make sure that the framerate is listed as 24p (or 23.whatever). If not, change it.

Far as I know, that's the only place in DVDA you have to set / confirm the framerate.
