I recently started using Vegas and for my first song, I
didn't specify a folder (or drive) to record to. Therefore
it automatically put the files to my C drive. But I want
the files on my D SCSI drive. Can I move them in Explorer
and expect Vegas to find them?
Yes, just move the folder and then when you open the project, it will
ask you to specify the location of the files. Just navigate from
there and you should be all set.

File management still leaves a wee bit to be desired in my
experience, particularly in not being able to create a Folder
when "saving as".
That would be a 'nice touch". :)

When starting a new project, go to Files/Properties/Audio and enter
the folder you want your audio files to be recorded in the "Recorded
files folder". Hope this helps.

Try using Cubase and you'll appreciate something as easy as I've seen
so far. Thanks for the response.

We do own the damn thing! ... that is why we switched to Vegas Pro at
the first release!!
We've got more work done since switching from CuBase, with less down
time and a whole lot less fumbling around looking for nonintuitive
menus and ways of doing things.
Thank gawd those days are over!
