So im trying to import a 33 GB media file into Movie Studio and it freezes, is there a certain size?

I believe there is a file limit. Movie Studio seems to freeze at around 1GB import for me. I think they didn't add a page size limit, therefore it chews up an infinite amount of memory until it freezes and crashes.

Movie Studio itself imposes no such limit
Download MediaInfo and tell us all about that file.
Also complete system specs.
32 or 64 bit OS?
IS THE FILE ON YOUR MAIN DRIVE OR SOMETHING ELSE?

33GB is pretty large. Some software can mistakenly write files larger than 4GB with improper header information that is intended to be used only in files under 4GB. The MainConcept AVC codec in Vegas 9 has this problem in that it will happily write a 7GB file which MediaPlayer can play, but Vegas cannot reload the file. Nor can i copy it across the network to another PC as i end up with an incomplete 3GB file.

Knowing what kind of file it is, where it came from, what software/camera produced it, what codec it uses, etc. would be very helpful.
