File sizes in DVDA

I have just encoded an avi file to mpeg2 (pal) ready to burn using DVDA. The file is 4.05g for about one and a half hours length (read in explorer) but when i bring it into dvda it reads as 5.4g, which is 113% of my 4.7g DVD. There is no menu (i was looking to include one but the priority is to get it onto disk) and i also tried to reduce the default bitrate in the optomise dvd box but this had no effect whatsoever.......

Any ideas??

Make sure you have the 1.0c update installed. There were issues with calculating the available disc space in the initial release. The update is here.

It appears that this issue is still present. At least I get the some of the same result after using Canopus ProCoder. see thread: Importing MPEG files from Canopus ProCoder"
I'm running vers. 1.0C and it certainly reports filesize way off the actual size.
