There are a lot of older programs/plugins/OSses/drive partition types that are limited to 4GB. Make sure your drive is formatted NTFS. It's possible that that program tried to render past 4GB on a FAT32 partition and didn't realize it was failing, which made a corrupt file.

Also, some codecs that may be in AVI containers are limited to 4GB as well.

To be really safe, you may have to render from the other program in two smaller parts.

Thanks Kelly for the reply. Yes it's NTFS. I got tired of messing with it and used the 'compressed AVI' option, but I don't like the look of it. The program doesn't give me the option to render in parts unfortunately, as I thought that was a good idea. It always seems the simple 'freebie' projects are always the most difficult.........Thanks again for your help. Cin
