Film Convert OFX Crashing V15

karma17 wrote on 9/21/2017, 3:24 AM

Just finished loading up V15 on my computer and all went fairly well. All of my plug-ins including the Magic Bullet Suite, Neat Video, Ignite Pro 2017, and Hit Film Pro 2017 all loaded up and are in. However, the Film Convert OFX plug-in stopped Vegas Pro 15 dead in its tracks. It generated a problem report, which I sent, and I also notified Film Convert. The only way I could get V15 to run again was by uninstalling Film Convert. sure hope they can fix this because I really like Film Convert and it was working in Build 270 of V14.

FilmConvert Pro 2.15 appears to work fine for me in VP15 build 177.

I don't know what it is. The main weirdness was that it was stopping Vegas for opening up. I have a brand new system and the very first program I loaded up was Vegas and then my plug ins, one by one. I guess I will just keep using it in V14 and wait and see if something comes up. Good to know that it as least works for someone.

In case it helps, my installation is using these file/folder locations:

C:\Program Files\Rubber Monkey Software\FilmConvert Pro\

C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\FilmConvertPro2.0.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64\FilmConvertPro2.0.ofx

D:\Documents\OFX Presets\com.rubbermonkey_FilmConvertPro1.5\Filter\

I do also not see a fundamental issue with Filmconvert 2.15 in VP15. Have tested yesterday a XAVC I slog3 project graded with Filmconvert to rec709.

The only issue that I have found is that keyframs - I apply the effect in the timeline and grade with keyframes - cannot be deleted easily with the buttom in the Vegas keyframe settings (only when holding shift). But the rest works.

Ok, I guess this was my error. Needed to upload the latest NVIDIA driver, using GEForce Experience and now it works. I could have sworn I had the latest driver, but I guess not.
