Film Look Script Update #2

jetdv wrote on 1/16/2004, 11:18 AM
The Film Look script has been updated again. You can download it from http://www.jetdv.com/scripts/FilmLook1_0.exe

In this version, previous renders should be automatically overwritten upon re-rendering and the "directory" errors should now be gone.

I just downloaded off a post on this forum a day or so ago. Is this an update to that 1.0? DGrob

Yes. It includes the fixes mentioned above. Otherwise, it is functionally the same.

Hi.

I'm getting A "Directory Does Not Exist" error when I try to run this script.

Thanks

You can e-mail me directly to discuss specific issues. Also, are you rendering to a root directory? You may wish to try rendering to a folder instead.

These scripts seem tp be looking for MS .NET in order to run properly. Is this correct? Its bad enough I have to have MS Messanger always annoying me, now I guess I have to have another intrusive product installed to run these great scripts.

More and more programs are requiring that the .NET software be installed. Vegas in one of them, if you want to be able to run any scripts you need it installed. From the tech support page:
======
Note that to run scripts in Vegas 4.0 requires you to be using Windows XP with Service Pack 1, and the .NET framework. The .NET installation is available by visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. You can only run scripts for Vegas via the program's GUI, there is no option to run scripts via a command line.

Yes, Vegas requires the .NET Framework in order to run scripts. It's about a 20 Meg download from Microsoft. If you want to run scripts, install it. If you don't want to install it, you don't run scripts.

I've installed the .NET Framework on a variety of machines including WinME, Win2K, XP Home, and XP Pro. This enabled scripting on all of these systems.

don[326, e-mail me directly. I haven't fully decided what to do with everything concerning that script. Also, there are still a few things related to the script that is still up in the air.
