Film runout effect

Hi all. Not even sure of the best way to describe this, but I'd like to create that effect of film running out. There is kind of an orange/red flare on the side of the image, with a few scratches and random letters flashing past as if the end piece of film was passing through a projector.
Is there a quick way of creating this, or is it a manual type thing? I've seen it used quite often so I'm hoping it's something thats relatively straight forward.

Stock footage combined with your own footage, or just this wonderful stock.

I'll second that. I've got the same library, and use it quite a bit. I've tried to reproduce it as a veg, can't get it there. (At least I can't. maybe someone else could)

Looks to me like Film Clutter 2 is maybe a bit "better" for what I'd use. I like the film burning effect, and it has a few of those. Hmmm... I'm going to be working on a documentary very soon, if those guys like the looks of these clips for cutaways, etc., I'll have to pick up one of these collections.
