filming a computer screen - rid the flicker?

Hello,

I want to film my computer screen as I navigate through some Web sites. Is there any way on Vegas to get rid of the "flicker wave" that moves up the screen on the video?

I'm shooting with a pretty basic miniDV camcorder, which does not have the "clear screen" function.

If not possible in Vegas, anything else I could try?

Thanks.

You can't get rid of it. You can minimize it by changing your computer screen refresh rate to 60.

Or you can use an LCD screen and will have no flicker (like a laptop).

Consider using a video screen capture program, such as Camtasia , to record your browser movements. Then, save as an AVI and import the full screen video into Vegas.

Be sure to set up the capture program to record in a high quality/resolution, especially if you plan to use Vegas track motion to zoom in or move around the screen.

You should get a nice, clean image. Plus, if necessary, you can capture audio simultaneously.

Good luck!
