1. Watch out for the snowballs ;-)

2. The GL2 will try to make the snow mid-gray, so you need to over expose about a 1/3 or 1/2 stop, or set your manual exposure using a gray card.

Keep also a circular polarized filter in your pocket?

If you need close up on subjects think about bringing some kind of sunshades to avoid washed out skin tones (cause you have overexposed to get withe snow).

Keeping it in the pocket is going to do a lot of good.... I suggest mounting it in front of the lens to cut glare from reflections.

If it's bright and sunny, you'll need reflectors for fill, or scrims to tone down the brightness range on your subject (this in case of close-ups) otherwise the brightness range will overwhelm the camera's capabilities.
