I have Movie Studio 8.0 and I think I asked this aboutt two Years ago but I forget.

I have a video clip in the Timline and I don't want to change the color.

But I do want to ad a Red Filter over the video.

I don't want to make the colors in the video Red but I want to make it look like you are loooking at it through a Red Filter if that makes sance.

How can I do this?

So are you trying to raise the red level?

Can you link to an example on YouTube or whatever of the effect you're trying to achieve?

I would add a solid color generated media event to a track above the video track, choosing the color red, of course. Initially the result will be solid red. Hover the mouse pointer over the top edge of the red event, hold down the button, and drag down slowly. The farther you drag the more transparent the red will become, allowing the video clip to show through it. When you've found a spot where there's still the amount of red you wish remaining, let go of the mouse button.

I sould have told you this way.

Remember in the Terminator movies when the Terminator would be looking at something it would have a RED Filter.

This is what I want to do???

Chienworks method should work for you. The only other thing I would do is to make the clip B&W.

But that's a different effect than "looking thru a red filter" It may work for the OP but it's not the same effect.

In Vegas Pro, dragging the center color corrector wheel all the way to the red worked very nicely. Also in Color Curves, dragging the blue & green curves down to the bottom produced a very workable result.

Are either of these available in Vegas Studio?
