On the audio side Vegas will accept just about any kind of FX plug-in. Not that you really need them since Vegas already has most of the commonly used ones already built-in.

Thx for this man! The Boris ones look really good and will be a real benefit! The spiceMaster is also good.

If you have any more please let me know.

Thx

There's one in the UK, the cube plug that has some great features for the price you pay, :-), but I don't have it linked on my laptop. Do a search in here for "cubes" and you'll find it.
On the audio side...

There are several more, and many can be reached via the www.directxfiles.com website.
Vegas comes with decent plugs, but audio plugs aren't Sony's main strength or focus. You'll hear a MONSTER difference with an iZotope Ozone plug or a Waves plug pack vs the quality of the Sony plugs. But, these plugs cost money because they emulate hardware devices. For instance, remember the BBE device that everyone raved about for years? Now it's built into many Walkmans and other tools. Well...that's a plug for about 79.00. Well worth the cost for any editor, no doubt. Some of the PSP plugs are found free in my book. WAVES has a 14 day demo worth trying out. WAVES is by far and away my fave, with iZotope coming in second. The rest are good tools, but the calibre of these bundles is wonderful.
Hope these help.

And then there are script plugins like:
Tsunami
Excalibur

Both of which work like plugins, but are task oriented instead of being 'filter' oriented.

Thx for all these. Some very useful links and filters. The cubes one is a certainly a good effect. I have looked at Spicemaster and Boris - both of these seem very good indeed. IT would be nice to see further filters from Sony in the next update of Vegas.

I mean filters that can really stand your video out from the rest - for example animated text? Or Film like effects? Do you see what I mean? Or strobing? Sometimes simple things make such a difference! After Effects seems to have pretty much what Vegas offers - albeit the name of Adobe. I prefer the drag and drop of Vegas. So effective!

If you have any further links for Video filters I'll be looking out for them.

Thx for your replies.
