Finding Menu

I am new to Movie Studio, I have just purchased Movie Studio HD Platinum 10. I cannot find where you insert or add a menu to the project. Do I need to add the menu before I add videos to the time line or after or does it not matter? I intend to burn my HD project to Blu Ray, do I need to do anything with the setting or is this all done when I am ready to burn to Blu Ray?

Hi LionelS, welcome to the forum.

Menus are available in the companion DVD Architect Studio program. It's a separate install on your install disc or separate download if you bought it online.

You Render As your project to a file then open that file in DVDAS to create the menu and create the disc image.

Thanks for your tip. Once you open complete project in the DVD Architect Studio program, is the video and audio quality fully retained (ie is it still 100% high def video as it was created in Movie Studio and the 5.1 surround sound still retained as well as any chapters created)?

It seems double handling by having to open project in a different program to create menus etc with what estentially should be part of Movie Studio all in one. Other programs do not have this division. Anyway I suppose I will get used to it.

If your video and audio are compliant and will fit on the disc, they will not be re-encoded. The preparation in DVD Architect in that case will be muxing only, with no change in the material whatsoever.

There are many people here, including myself, who prefer that our NLE Editing and our DVD / BluRay Authoring be done in separate, compatible programs, and not an "all-in-one" such as Ulead.
