Finding Pan/Crop & Event FX buttons under transition strip?

Ok - this might qualify for the day's - if not the weeks stupidest question - but I have been awkwardly working around this issue for too long ....

Often when I have a transition it hides the Pan / Crop & Event FX buttons on an event - and of course there are plenty of times when I need to get to those buttons - - I usually end up moving one of the overlapping events to a new track to reveal the buttons I need - which invariably screwa up timing when I try to return ( to mention only one problem with this tactic)..
I have tried expanding the track view in both directions with no luck...

Any help would be a real time saver - Fultro

“I have tried expanding the track view in both directions with no luck…”

This usually works for me; that is zooming in on the event on the timeline until the icons appear.

A few suggested ways to deal with small/short events where you can't see the pan/crop buttons;
1. Zoom in deep using up/down arrows or mouse wheel
2. Grab the magnifying glass from the tool bar and click/drag in the area of the short events to magnify them.
3. Right Click the event and choose Pan/Crop or FX from the sub menu that opens.

Many thanks - the only thing that seems to work for me is the right click option ------

Just out of curiosity, could you have possibly turned off these tools in your Options>Prefs>Show video event buttons dialog?
Because even if it's a 1 frame event and you're zoomed in deeply enough, you'll see these buttons unless they're disabled.

It is not the prefs - they are on
It seems that when two transitions are literally backed into each other on the timeline, that you can zoom out all the way and still not expose the buttons unless you slip one of the events to the side a bit
Anyway not a big deal now that I know about the right click option
