Finished project size (time) vs size on DVD

I am looking for aproximate figures for converting project time, to file size burned on 4.7 Gb DVD, using default VMS mpeg2 rendering. I expected this info would be easy to find, but I guess I have looked in the wrong places.

It all depends on the bitrate and nothing else. Unfortunately you can't adjust the bitrate in the Studio version. Does it at least tell you what bitrate it's using? If not, i suggest you render exactly 6 minutes' worth of the typical sort of video you produce and see how large that file is. You then know how much 0.1 hours will be, and the math is pretty simple after that.

If you export the finished project to uncompressed AVI, then DVDA will compress it enough to fit .. assuming it's not a humungous project.
