Firewire

I have just built an Athlon XP 2100 PC my operating system is Windows XP Pro.
My mainboard is an Asus AV7 333 with built in Firewire port.
My machine automatically installed the Via OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Controller.
I would like to know if this built in firewire port and Via Controller would be o/k to use with Vegas Video 4.0 and my JVC DVX4 camcorder.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The demo gives you all the features except the only thing is that you won't be able to render projects so you may try it (just skip the serial# window...)
At least, you'll know if it works and have the opportunity to see and try the software...
