Firewire to DV Recorder print to tape?

I am using Sony Vegas 9.0b platinum software, when I print to to tape it records, however the video has "square pixels" in the video. I do not understand why this is happening? Any suggestions?

Just for clarification, do you mean square vs. rectangular as in the aspect ratio is wrong? Or do you mean big, visible squares?
