I guess this is more camera technique then editing but here goes:
OK I did my first shoot at the office last week with Canon FX100. It was multiple short interviews in an office conference room. I had little time to set up but boy did I learn a lot and fast!
Lighting was good quality strip lighting (high level, good diffusers) with a large south facing window (thin blind down) and sun going in and out of cloud! I did a WB at the start but now realise that I should have done regular WBs throughout. Anyhow fixed most of that in VP. The background was plain walls with 2 colours, looked nice but every slight change of light/exposure shows up big style, again VP has corrected using Brightness/Contrast.
Question for you pros: Would you have brought in your own lighting and turned off the strip lights. Would you try to exclude the sunlight since it was constantly changing. Would you use the waveform monitor on the camera to set a reference exposure level on say one of the coloured wall panels and used it to check exposure before each shot.
Maybe it wasn't the best room but I had no choice. Anyhow I'm happy with the result and VP13 working great. Also bought Vegasaur 2 today, worth every penny!
