First time user - Problems

Kenny Q wrote on 1/19/2008, 10:27 PM
I'm trying to burn a DJ mix to CD.

First problem.
The software keeps telling me I need 2 second gap prior to track 1. I inserted 2 seconds and now it says that I have more than 3 seconds.

How can I have the required 2 seconds in the beginning?

Second Problem.
It doesn't let me burn a CD because it says something about a PQ List.

How can I fix this?

Thanks,
Kenny Q

The 2 second gap is 'hard' displayed as that red section at the front. Butt your audio up to this, and position the start marker of track 1 there.

The PQ thing is possibly because yo have a bunch of audio events on the timeline, but haven't actually defined any tracks ?

OK,
I don't know how, but my 12 year old son figured out how to record the cds and set regions as tracks.

One thing we can't figure out is getting CD Text to work.

Please help us.

Thanks,
Kenny Q

getting CD Text to work

Just in case, keep in mind that Windows Media Player ignores CD text.

Depending on age of your cd drive - it might not support cd text - what make /model is it?

I don't know what type of CD Drive but I have a Macbook Pro. Bought it brand new in September.

My son has a Hewlett Packard less than 1 yr. old.
