This is not what I'm looking for. We need someone that can stream flash-videos.

Try Yahoo! web hosting. They support (but do not supply the software) Flash.

My experience with them over the past year has been very good.

Are you sure you're not confusing progressive download with streaming flash video? Progressive downoad can be hosted by anybody, real streaming will probably cost you a lot more.

www.streamzilla.nl

turned out to be everything we were looking for.

A friend of mine who develops Flash sites (Firebunny Media) uses a company called Media Temple and recommends them highly.

What true flash streaming. I put up Flash videos regularly and they start playing almost immediately, but it seems this is not "true flash streaming". What is?

For progressive download I'm quite excited about finding www.brightcove.com

They give you a lot of control and options about the players that you can syndicate, the video is encoded on your own computer using their software but with 2-pass etc.. And you can earn advertising revenue too.

Streets ahead of embedding from the likes of YouTube and Google Video.

Brightcove is the quality goods. However you have to have TONS of views in order to make any money on their revenue share plan.

If you choose to just use them as a host it is rather pricey. It's really designed for the big boys.

Our Vegas brother Brian from RocklegdeEng was an early adapter of the Brightcove platform (about a year ago) and was an official beta tester. When I spoke to a sales rep over there they knew who he was and spoke very highly of him. I got the impression he is a "favored son" so to speak. Needless to say Brian knows a little bit about Brightcove and it's inner workings. ; )

Regardless of how you want to do Brightcove. I would contact Brian to get the real skinny. He is a super nice guy and provides a very fair service to those of us on a budget but would still like the benefits of using Brightcoves quality service.

Great value and service. All formats hosted. Looks cheaper than streamzilla as well!

Cheers
