Folder to place my LUTs

Rich Parry wrote on 11/5/2023, 8:02 PM

I'd like to create a LUT folder that contains only my often used LUTs without the default VP LUTs, I don't own a RED camera or any of the other cameras listed Rather than cluttering up the pull down menu with LUTs I don't use, can I create a folder that contains "only" my LUTs and have VP20 default to looking in that folder when I open VP20.

Thanks in advance

Vegas Native LUTS iirc are .dll files. Your personal LUTS are probably .cube format, and can be stored anywhere you wish. I don't know that there is an easy way to turn off the loading of Vegas native LUTS unless you rename or delete.

I created such a LUT folder and saved it as a favorite in Windows Explorer. I load the LUT Fx, click on the shortcut and have them all there.

I'm am not sure about v20, but in v21, the native LUTs are in \Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 21.0\OFX Video Plug-Ins\Vfx1.ofx.bundle\Contents\Resources\AutoLooks

They are .cube files.

I have reduced mine to show only my camera LUTs in the dropdowns -- without having to browse.

Edit: or for safety, just add your .cube files to the directory a call it a day.
