Font organizer

I am thinking of using printers apprentice. What programs would people recommend? I would like something that allows me to create categories for fonts AND show me what fonts have not been categorized. It seems like there are a lot out there that will categorize them, but there is no way of knowing which ones have been done and which have not. Also, it would be nice to have the program remove them from windows if I want and then install them when I want. Printers apprentice does this and it is nice because having a lot of fonts can slow down windows boot time and looking for a font time.
Thanks for any suggestions.

There are several organizers out there - try google them. Most wil probably have a 30 day trial, and you can test. I have never used any myself though.

I've used printers apprentice in the past (on my old NT workstation) and liked it a lot - I might purchase the newer version when I get a Vista platform (I have many, many fonts).

Thanks for the positive vote for PA. That was the best I could find in my search.

How does it stack up against Suitcase?

That looks pretty good. I have to admit that I kept my search to the $30 and below range. Most of the better programs were for a mac, but it looks like they are starting to make more for windows.

I have been using AMPsoft's FontViewer for a long time now and I am very happy with it.
I have only the core fonts loaded on my computer, I then created a new folder for my extra fonts (and put them in their own catergories) and then I use FontViewer to load them as needed.

That looks really good. I especially like how it will install a font until a program closes. And, it looks like it is free...is that correct?

Thanks!
