The VX2000 is a 4:3 ratio 60i camera with a stretch 16:9 60i mode that lowers the resolution.

You are already shooting at 60i with the VX2000.

Thanks Laurence...with the VX2000, I shot 4:3 . I use 3 cameras to tape a musical. I was going to use the new AX2000 today with the other VX2000's shooting in SD 4:3. I can choose SD 60i 720x480, or 30p 720x480. Which mode would better match the old VX2000 progessive scan?

The VX2000 is not a progressive camera, it is a 60i camera. (It may have had a 15 frame per second progressive mode like it's professional counterpart, the PD150, but I'm certain you weren't using that.)

Choose SD 60i 720x480 on the AX2000 to match the VX2000.
