Anyone else have this problem -

It says you are looged in but when you post a message you get an error that your username and password do not match? I tried to post several times and got this so I had my password and username re-sent to me, keep in mind all this time it says I am logged in, and guess what? My password was not the same.

What is going on?

You lost or damaged your cookie.

Seriously.

The Sony "cookie" is one of many, many you probalby have on your computer. When you visit almost any major site, they write a "secret" cookie file to your hard drive. Now you know. For one thing a cookie stores your password. So if something happens to your cookie, you can't log in. until you get a new cookie. ;-)

You can see how many "cookies" you got by looking in your cookie folder. In XP its usually in C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\Cookies

Where XXX is the name you set up for user

For example my Amazon cookie follows. Its just a simple text file:

session-id-time
1071347200
amazon.de/
1536
145123455480
29605455745
16085499
29604534
*
session-id
202-8100982-1778735
amazon.de/
15345689
1451284480
29605745
1609019936
29604534
*

432-6033521-1900115
amazon.de/
1536
1038888576
31961194
1614329936
29604534

You can safely delete all your cookie files. But if you do you'll likely wipe out all your passwords, etc. and they don't really do any harm or take up that much room.

Hey BB - hows life?

The cookie on my machine isn't really the question - it is something on the Sony side because my actual password was changed over the last 5 hours or so.
