I don't think I've logged back in for months now.

I almost never log in for two reasons: 1) I keep telling myself this is the last time I'll come here (this isn't the same place, and Vegas isn't the same program it used to be); 2) The extra step of logging in keeps me from posting.

Gee, I'm glad I logged in to post this important thought ...

I had to re-log in recently after I used CCleaner to clean out my cookies, but otherwise all is normal.

Probably been at least a couple of years since i've had to log in on my desktop. I just got this laptop 9 months ago so i had to log in then, but not again since.

You might check your internet options. You might also check the Sony "Remember Login".

John, your efforts are really very much appreciated. Please don't withdraw, You'd be a massive loss to the community.

I never have to re log-in unless cookies are deleted, same on my laptop.
Can't say I like the forums' unconventional antiquated lay-out though.

Personally, I like the unconventional forum layout, it's clean and easy to read. It would be nice to be notified of responses to threads in which I post, but I can live with that.

I remained logged in since the last big server upgrade. Prior to that remained logged in for years !

Have you got some sort of AV or anti-spam running that clears out your cookies ?

geoff

Or, if you're using IE and it crashes or your system reboots and closes IE automatically, it forgets all your logins (cookies). They're not gone, exactly, but it won't use them again and starts saving new ones. Known issue. PITA.
