I believe it was another drive-by thread hijacking.

Sorry THF... we've been following your every move on these forums for years, so you might as well come clean and admit it; your name is Euphrimus...right?

Friar, (or can I call you Happy?) Your profile says your name is Steve Howe, you wouldn’t be from that famous law firm Dewey, Cheatum & Howe would you? ;-) (sorry, I couldn’t resist... it’s been a long day)

I like the use of real names as well. It makes things more personal but I understand peoples privacy concerns as well. I’ve been using the stage name Johnny Roy since 1974 when I first started performing music professionally. All of my friends from that era know me as Johnny Roy (regardless of the fact my family name is Rofrano) I picked the name to honor my beloved father’s brother, Jim Roy who played with Al Goodman and His Orchestra. He died before I played my first gig so I chose his name in remembrance. Most kids of that time were discouraged from joining a rock band but my Dad was OK with it because his brother was a musician.

I wouldn’t suggest that people change their handles now because that’s who we know you by, but it would be a nice gesture to use your real name in your profile even if its just your first name.

>a bad or silly name (ie Buford or Wilbur...or GREGORY<

Who said Gregory is a silly name? : ) Me I guess, since I go by Greg. It's certainly caused me less grief than my last name (Erken). Or my middle name, come to think of it (finally saw the Omen last week.....)

Gregory Damien Erken

Always the same guys whining.

Always the same guy being a hypocrite. Stirring up trouble, then acting offended. More hypocrisy. Not surprising. He preaches one thing, then does another. Not surprising. True to form.

My name was wrong. It's Stephen, not Steve. But, don't use Stephen. I like to be called Steve. I DON'T LIKE PEOPLE TOUCHING MY THINGS! (ok, psycho Moulin Rouge episode over)

Seriously though, i've been using BBS's since I was young, and you needed a handle (chernobyl, I liked the Commodure 64 simulation of the same name). So I picked one. Then, when I got my yahoo account, I chose something different (already had that as a juno e-mail), and well, i've stuck with it ever since. Go figure.
