PNG is lossless and 32-bit (includes an 8-bit alpha) You really can't improve on that.

Are you having a problem getting files that are full sized? When you say "very small" do you mean in pixel dimensions or small in megabytes?

If you are speaking about the resolution of the PNG or JPEG files, if you are using standard def video, the files will only be 720 x 480 pixels with a dpi of 72. That is the standard video resolution size.

dpi has nothing to do with it. And they'll actually be 654x480. And you'll only get that size if you set the preview to full instead of auto or half.
