Frame Leading Edge Glitch in "Vegas Slide" FX in Vegas Pro 21

Hello,

I wonder if anyone else has come across this issue and/or would know how to fix it.

I am using the standard Slide FX as a transition to bring some text in from the side of the screen. Everything works great, however what would be the leading edge of the video frame that is being slid in has a visible line that is maybe 1 pixel wide that moves across the screen as my text moves in.

I have attached a screen grab. The line is very narrow and feint but definitely there every time I an using this effect. In the screen grab you can see my text over on the right part of the screen. The final position of the text is to the right that is why it is so far behind the leading edge of the frame that is sliding in. I have added some arrows to easily see the position of the glitch. The line moves in relation to the slide.

I am on a laptop running Win 10 Pro, 32GB RAM Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU with Vegas Pro 21 (Build 108)

Thanks for any input/advice anyone may have.

Hi I had a similar problem (not exactly, but the same kind of artefact when I try to make a media glide upon another).

I avoided this glitch by exporting the sequence frame by frame in png., importing the sequence of images and then export it in mp4 or whatever.

A bit tedious but it gives you a clean result.

Thanks for the response. It is a good suggestion but would be very tedious to do as I have multiple text box elements that each have a 12 frame 'Slide' in transition. They also slide out, but you don't see the leading edge when they are going out, only when coming in.

Is this issue an identified bug in V21?

If your using generated media for the text, why not just "Save snapshot to a file" as transparent .png and use Pan/Crop to keyframe the text on to the screen.

Otherwise, turn off all GPU functions and report.

@jeffagwm @Bruno_Souchu Hi,

I see it with Slide in VP20,

Try Push - Push in, Left instead
