Frame within Frame

Howdy.

Could someone tell me how, or point me towards a tutorial to do the following:

Video from track "a" filling the frame
video from track "b" in the corner (or wherever) maintaining aspect ratio (the whole image reduced)

If this is in pan crop, I didn't see how to do it!

And what is the proper name for this technique?

Thanks in advance

I hope I explained myself

Actually you use the Track Motion, not the Pan/crop. On the timeline next to your video track there is a button with 2 blue boxes and an arrow, click that and the Track Motion window will pop up, you can then resize the clip and move it wherever you want to. Put the full screen video on the lower track and put the smaller window on a track above it.

Look for the 3 issues dealing with PIPs.

1) Thank you kindly for the quick reponses (even though I suspect I know what you cats do at lunch!)
2) You already answered another question I had: what does PIP mean?

Great board!

you can do PIP with pan/crop, but it's the opposite of what it's sems it should be(in pan/crop you adjust the size of the frame to the size of the video, but with track motion you asjust the size of the video to the size of the frame).

So, for PIP in pan/crop, you make the view box bigger ( so the dashed F gets smaller), and with the track motion, you make the dashed F smaller to fit in a corner of the view box.
