On the audio side of things:

A situation where one does a video of a theater play. There are multiple recording devices being used to record different performers. Another situation is where there is a meeting and there also are multiple recording devices recording each person speaking to get the best audio from each person.

A mix of all of them is not very good for a number of reasons. So I want to have multiple tracks for each recording device. The big problem happens in editing when I want to select the correct track for each person speaking. That can take a lot of time determining who is speaking and then cutting and selecting the track I want for the current person speaking. It is not always obvious from the track ‘peaks’ which track has the current person speaking. With two people next to each other it can get difficult. Even if one can easily see the difference it can take a lot of time to edit the tracks. It can get extremely difficult for me because of my very poor speech hearing.

What I want is something that can detect which track has a person speaking and not just a track from an adjacent recording device and then selects the proper track for me. How well that would work would depend on the original recordings and how well the recording devices were setup. There would need to be an option to handle when two or more people are speaking.

The idea is to significantly reduce editing time and get the best audio of each person speaking. Reminds me of a mixer a church congregation uses. It automatically selects the microphone where a person is speaking so the person running the system does not have to keep switching inputs. It can be setup to keep the pulpit microphone on all of the time and then select the other ones being used by different speakers one at a time.

The tracks to be affected will be selected. The other tracks will be left alone.

Maybe this is a goofy wish but it would be nice to have a tool of some kind to help with this.

This thread:

Running Date & Time Stamp

reminded me of something I've asked for since I started using Vegas a decade ago:

Access ALL meta information embedded in a video file

This includes date, time, time code, exposure information, GPS, etc.

The "ultimate" would be to not only be able to have this appear as an overlay, but also have the option to export as subtitles.

Once you have the ability to read time information, the next step would be to take action on that information, such as cut events (or add a marker) at time discontinuities (scene detection).

I haven't tried any of the closed caption features in the newest version of Vegas, so I don't know if it provides access to captions already embedded in the video file.

Hello,

1) flicker removal plugin - for timelapses and for videos from CMOS with flickering sky for example

2) import of Mocha (I have seen this in post of some user here) - I think it will be better to implement it in Vegasaur (there is already implemented (and very usefull) opton for BCC motion tracker import), but if you can ...

3) slomo plugin with good ratio value/price (what is on the market is out of my budget)

4) DOF or blur plugin where is possible not only to define positions of nodes for blur gradients but also the shape of curve for transition between areas

5) plugins which support Z-depth (for blurring or changing light, color) according to black and white mask file (also procedure for preparation of such file should be implemented, or import from 3D application).

best regards,

Hello,

Have forgotten about AV Color Lab - somebody also mentioned about this plugin. IMHO it's excellent, I'm using this very often, would be fantasting to be sure that it's developer is continuing his job, maybe in cooperation.

I hate cyan : if any problem with level of light accurs during shots (for example panning with autolevel), then sky is shifting from blue o cyan. AV Color Lab is able to resolve this problem. This is main task for this plugin in my workflow. In connection with flicker fixer it could be hit.

best regards,

It's restricted to AVCHD and the website is German but at least there is a tool for Vegas Pro available which does this (it includes bit rate and GPS data): ShowRecDat

This sounds like something I could get out quickly. If you don't mind could you drop me an email (satish@debugmode) with more details on how you want it to work?

Satish you have enough already but if you can find time

Import path file as in EPS file, that is for mask etc or path file for motion path.
Also script/plug 3D shadow added to z depth.
Import txt file, iwth spel check.... please.
Auto shadow on bump map fx
