Seems to just not like Firefox, not like Konqueror, not like Linux, and not like that I won't accept the site's cookie. Guess I'd have to go find a sacrificial Windows machine to download from that site.
Ah. Well, In Linux and Windows, using Firefox, IE, or Konqueror, I get a message saying my "user idenity is invalid, Please login or use a supported browser"
It did once open a window to a Casale Media address, a domain that often gets blocked as spyware or a source of malicious software. Seems the site also tried to dump a heck of a lot of adware cookies.
Eh. I think I'll just skip it. Definitely not liking what I'm seeing.
But then, my Vegas installation (8.0c under Vista x64, on Intel quad) is generally stable, which cannot be said about others, basing on their reports....
After going through all of the hoops on the media site I finally downloaded it. Installed in Vista 64 Q6600 and messed with it some and encountered no problems. Messed with it some more and it worked really well. The eyedroppers even work in the preview window which I guess they are supposed to.

I would like to try it, but the first thing that pops-up a spyware/virus screen wanting to run a scan on my computer.
I refuse to enable Java on any site that has that pop-up.
Is that the only place to get it from? Any mirrors?
I'll gladly pay the guy for it if it works well, but I refuse to allow 'mediafire' access to my computer after that pop-up.
Yeah... this is definitely a Must Have for Automatic White Balance.
Finally, it is a 'One-Click' operation to get Good White Balance in Post.
The way people are getting White Balance with the Secondary Color Corrector is too cumbersome. Before downloading this FREE plug-in I would resort to FCP or PremierePro if I needed to do White Balance in Post because they've had 'One-Click' WB for a while. Since I'm NOT an experienced Color Correctionist, I prefer the One-Click so I can continue editing.
It's funny to think that he is offering it for FREE as it's something that's been asked for for a while. I'm sure many of us would pay for it... at least I know I would simply because of the One-Click WB.
I think I read on his site where it says there is soon to be an update.
-- I'm still baffled wondering why Sony hasn't included One-Click WB in their Color Correction arsenal.
I'm impressed with it's performance. This plugin uses my graphics card, even though it's an older AGP card. I was playing some media on the timeline and dialing the plugin's Gausian blur up and down while watching the CPU load. The blur added next to nothing to the CPU load and the playback rate hardly changed. This was on a cineform clip at a custom frame size so it's probably not a very good test. I was only getting about 9 F/s to begin with so I'd want to test it on something that plays at full frame rate.
Didn't try a render, though. It might be that the AGP card would perform poorly compared to a PCIe card. AGP doesn't provide a lot of bandwidth back to the CPU.
Just curious why you didn't use the colorlab color corrector instead of the Sony?
BTW downloaded from the above link, installed on Vista 64 home premium Vegas 8.0 and 8.1 i7 quad and seems to work fine once I figured out how to use it. Still am looking for a "How to" pdf though - Grazie?
