Hi
As you Vegas MSP users already know that it does not render videos to flv. I'm looking for a converter and found this one, http://www.flv-converter.org/. Has anyone used this software and if it's any good or is it just another malware site?
Also, what are you using for flv output?
Any advice is appreciated.
If I am reading it right, it looks like that converter only converts from FLV to other common formats. You said you need something to render to FLV, since Vegas won't do this.
First of all, with the recent versions of Flash Player, MP4 files encoded with one of the AVC encoders in Vegas will play beautifully, without any conversion whatsoever. Since MainConcept doesn't prepare the files for streaming, most people would use the Sony AVC encoder.
Second, if you really want your AVC/MP4 files wrapped in the FLV extension, Super by Erightsoft will do the trick quite nicely. The drawbacks are that the download page is a bear to find, and the interface is hard to wrap your head around the first few times you use it. There are other FLV encoders around, but many of them do not support AVC, which is a superior format.
Thank you for your quick chime in. You're correct. As a noob, I assume the converter can go either way and I was wrong. Thanks for point that out.
After some more searching, I'm currently looking into:
1) Any Video Converter Pro 2.5
2) Prism Video Format Converter
3) Aiseesoft Video to Flash Converter
4) AVS Video Converter
Any hands-on experience with these?
