Hello, can you make a no free plugin list for people to choose.

One day, maybe. I begin with freewares, because I am active in the free community helping to improve some freeware like XnViewMP, FreeFileSync and many others. Then for me it's a priority.

I use BROADCAST a lot in Vegas. 32 bit audio but works great. Clean, VERY powerful, but even the simple presets are helpful. mutliband compresser limiter with Ambience and more http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?plugin=Broadcast&id=548

Interesting, but can you tell me what this mutliband compresser has better than the internal Vegas Multi-Band Dynamics? Why did you chose an external VST plugin instead of the Vegas one?

I personally like the iZotope mutliband compressor than came with the mastering suite which was included with Sound Forge Pro 9 and 10. Unfortunately, it is a DX (Direct X) plug-in and will not run on 64 bit host apps. I like the Ultrafunk VST mutliband comp as well, but that is hard to come by. Aside from Jeroen Breebaart's aforementioned "Broadcast" which is good on some material, I have not found a free mutliband compressor that I like (sound and/or UI). btw, "Broadcast" is a 32 bit VST plug but works file with 64 bit Sound Forge and Vegas.

Nutshell: Broadcast gave me the desired sound in a quick preset, and the others did not.

It's been years since I bothered testing the built in one. Maybe I should revisit it? BROADCAST can be simple one button DISTORTION FREE solution without a lot of fiddling. I love that, love to work very fast and stay creative rather than futzing with comp/limiting (the depth of which I fully understand having engineered in a number of great recording studios) I can pick a sound comp, set limit and move on. I believe BROADCAST is fully distortion free thanks to "look ahead", but I have not pushed it recently to verify. Also does stereo field AMBIENCE reduction/addition if needed which is great to remove hideous rumble on the low end.

Ok, I just tested it, and I found it very interesting. Then I added to my list.
The next film I will use it as much is possible to well know it and to get a real opinion.

Another volume leveling device is the Levelator. Non-audio folks like it because there are no adjustments.. It is not a plug-in though.. a stand-along application. I do not recall the import/export file types aside from PCM.
