Freeze the transition

Using Vegas 6d. In the help for the Iris Transition it states "The transition may be used as a mask to create a video window by using keyframe animation techniques to freeze the transition". Anyone know if it is actually possible to keyframe this or other transitions?

Yes it is. Add a transition envelope and add points as needed to the proper percentage.
