Freezing Video

Anyone know how any easy way to freeze the video? I want to do a voice over on a particular frame for around 30 seconds. The only way I can think of doing this is to repeatedly copy and paste a single frame.

If this is the only way, is there any way to unsplit as the above procedure results in a lot of clips.

A much easier way is to save the current frame as a still image and then drop this image on the timeline. You can then stretch it out to whatever length you want.

Look for the floppy disk icon over the preview window. You'll also want to set the preview window to full size first.

And set the quality to "Best". Has this function changed since VF2? I thought it was possible to copy a frame to the paste buffer - "copy timeline snapshot" is still there, but it doesn't seem to do anything!
