Frequent Crashes with Vegas 20 Upgrade During Basic Timeline Editing

Hello everyone,

I recently upgraded to Vegas 20 and have been facing consistent crashes during basic timeline editing. The software seems to crash approximately every 5 minutes. This has become quite challenging as I find myself having to save constantly and needing to frequently force close and restart the application.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? If so, any advice or solutions would be highly appreciated.

System details:

Operating System: Windows 10 Home

RAM: 32 gigs

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060

Vegas Version : 20.0 Build 411

Thank you for this excellent informaton for help>
To me it looks that your problem is caused by the Variable framerate of your MP4 with the AVC codec.
That can be solved by converting to constant framerate of 60fps. Therefore you can use one of the free Handbrake or Shutter Encoder.
Ik think it is also better to use your Nvidia GPU at Options/Preferences/Video
Also at that option using the default Dynamic RAM preview Max ( 5%)
