From Vegas Post 19 to Vegas Edit 20. Will I loose something?

Hi there!
I am considering the upgrade path from Vegas Post 19 (Permanent License) to Vegas Edit 20. As the POST suite fulfils my current needs, I'd feel confortable to only upgrade the core program. My question is : will I loose something in this move, like the "pipeline" connectivity with the Post suite elements or else?

Same thing may apply in the eventuality of moving to the subscription mode. Am I correct in assuming that my Vegas 19 Post suite would remain intact, but still be working with the Vegas 20 Edit edition?

What if, in a couple of years, I decide to upgrade to Vegas 21 Post (let's say) ? Will the upgrade path be calculated on my V19 Post?

Hoping to be understandable...

Thanks in advance!

Are you kidding?

You upgrade to Edit20 then you get Edit20, nothing to do with Post.

Your Post19 works together with its pipelines: VEGAS Image and VEGAS Effect. No connectivity to Edit20!

No, I am not.
My question is based on the fact that the Post Suite is made of independant programs/applications. Obviously, I could use them independantly, without interconnectivity. I am mostly curious to know if they would register into a regular version of Vegas Edit 20 as plugins, like into V19 Post. With Adobe, you can integrate different plugins versions/brands as we can do in every professionnal music production apps. I also suppose that my Boris Primatte and New Blue FX would comply.

You can use Vegas Image just fine. To use Vegas Effects from the Vegas 20 timeline you need to copy the config file from Vegas 19.

As standalone applications they should work just fine. I also did the same. Having Vegas Post 19 I got Vegas Edit 20.

I therefore suppose that the Boris FX and NewBlue will follow automatically, without any need to copy config files. Am I right? I confess that I have yet to explore their files architectures...

Thanks for the tip!

@Jean-Pierre-Pineau Download the 30 day trial for Edit 20 and it might answer your questions as your experience on your system may be different to others.
