Sigh.
You know how it is. I have the new TV in my setup now, but cannot wait for the ADS box which will be next month. I want to see if this setup will work, but so far nada. I have a Canon ZR 70MC that I use in between an Audigy firewire and SVHS input on the tv. I've searched the forums, enough to know that it may be a little buggy, I've read Spot's and others posts about it and tried a few things -
AV --> DV is off on the camcorder
I can capture from the camcorder into vegas fine
Preview is set to auto
On the devices tab, I've both checked and unchecked Recompress edited frames
If I try the Print to tape option, that works - I see the video on the ext. monitor.
Just not during normal playing, editing.
It wouldn't surprise me if it is some setting with the canon, but I've followed those directions too - to the point that you have to use the remote control to put it into rec-pause mode while it is in playback mode, and it does indicate that there is DV In, but doesn't show the video or pass it along to the TV.
I'm stumped. Any ideas?
thanks,
David
