I'm not sure about quicktime, but both the RealMedia and WindowsMedia templates at 3Mbps produce 640x480 frames by default.

I have VF 1.0. Does it have those templates? Can I make them or do I have
to upgrade to get them? I think QT Pro version 6 allows for full screen
creations.

I don't know if version 1 has these or not ... it's been years since i've run it. Try a Render As / Make Movie (whichever menu option VF1 has) and look. You should be able to modify whatever templates are there including setting the frame size.

Unfortunately, if the settings you need are not provided as a template for Windows Media, Real or Quicktime, you are plain out of luck.

While Vegas Video will let you create custom templates for those formats, Video Factory will not. The only (video) formats VF will let you customize are AVI and MPEG-1.

Instead, you have to render your video as an AVI and then import your AVI into a standalone encoder. Both Microsoft and Real provide free standalone encoders, Apple does not. If you decide to go this route, I can provide links if needed.

Also, VF 1's templates are not as complete as VF 2's. However, if you install the demo of VF 2 on your computer, some of VF 2's templates will be available in VF 1.

Hope this helps.
