I believe you just enter your serial number and it keeps working past the trial period...but not sure.

The "demo" version *IS* the "full" version - you just need to unlock it with the key.

if you bought a download, *OR* download an update later on, it doesn't have a "trial" mode. Like the one on the DVD you're getting, you NEED the SN to make it work.

Only difference between the trail & the "retail" copy.

thanks gents.

it wasn't that i doubted v8, (never demo'd the other releases), it was just impatience to check out the titler ;-)

Nope. DVDA is still a separate install.

This might be a dumb question but..
The demo version doesn't include certain things like the MC encoder, right?

So most of us who've installed the demo and then just entered the serial number might still be using the older version of the MC encoder. If so that just might explain the odd issue or two we're seeing.

Don't have a clue how to work out if this is so or not so I'll have to leave it upto someone else to fill in the gaps.

Bob.

it has the ac3/mpeg plugins included. They're not under "shared plugins" anymore, they're in the vegas 8/dvda4.5 specific folders.
