Just tried to run Sound Forge Pro 11 which I use every day. Get message Elevated Privileges Required.
See screnshot

Click NEXT, nothing happens.
Uninstalled and reinstalled. Serial # accepted but same thing happens.

This happens on two different computers, and only since yesterday.

Same thing happens with Spectral Layers Pro, although entering the serial # fixed that problem.

Have sent message to SCS. Tried same with Magix but couldn't make sense of the options.

SERIOUS ISSUE - I'm mid-project and absolutely need SF11 to work.

Just checked - SF10 opened just fine. WTF??

This is a long running issue that has been covered extensively and many times on the SF forum.

The work around is given on SCS's help pages:

https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5176

I have had this issue occurring with SF11 every 3 weeks or so for the last 2 years or so. The regedit workaround works, but for me, it only last 3 weeks and I have to do it again.

I had a similar issue with different programs and had to restore Windows 7 several times which was caused by some kind of online probing.

I had also this issue and have restores images to go back to the earlier stages. But that did not help really. The link above was the solution to be able to start Soundforge from Vegas without any issue.

Thanks everyone. I apologize for not checking for earlier threads about this, but am very grateful for the link.
At least SF 10 is still working perfectly.
Cheers
