Thanks I often do a fun thing in prep for a big job

I have this project coming up with a lot of 3d puzzle stuff involved so that was a test run

I got the idea from a question someone asked on this forum { good place for ideas} and used it for this new project

WOW!!!

Absolutely mind blowing. That must have taken ages.

Just one thing. I had to add http//www.vimeo.com/2158692 to your link.

Very nice indeed.

And Alan, you left out the colon from your link fix.

Here's a [finally] working link: http://www.vimeo.com/2158692

Since it's about your kids' generation, something a bit more hip-hoppy for the backtrack might work better than that Farfisa and Strat' surfin' sound, just my reaction. I loved the visuals, btw.

I think the link was part of the jigsaw. We pieced it together in the end. ;~)

Grazie, try this link.

p.s. Great job on the video Rory!!
Have you considered doing a "how it was done" tutorial?
I'm sure a lot of folks would be very interested in it.

Thanks Guys

That clip only took about an hour and a half to put together, I used Heroglyph as a plug so I just simply changed the text characters for puzzle pieces and kerned to fit
It took a matter of seconds to change each image and reanimate the pieces.

so as quick as it takes to apply a pic to the text you apply the pic to the pieces

The tricky bit is getting it to the music
If any of you guys have heroglyph I can send the veg and the hero file then just pop in your video or pics

The project I am busy with now I am using Vegas direct for the 3d puzzle pieces it looks much better because the pieces rotate around each other this takes a little longer

I can have a go at doing a tut and post it

Terribly sorry about the link ‘‘this puzzle ended up being 4 dimensional

(thanks mike!)

WOah! Amazing work.

Would you consider making the picture "whole" - no jigsaw lines - at the end of the coming together of each picture? You could do this on the beat too. This would kinda finish-off the "gag" nicely?

Grazie
