HI there!
I have my brother hooked on Video editing and things like that..
So I builded him a Kick ass PC but the Soundcard is a Audigy with FW...
Everything was fine till now, the cameras are burning up....the firewire connection is not working at all..... 3 DV camcoders are not working ( the i-link is not connecting to the PC ) Canon ZR100 , ZR85 and a Samsung... all three are not been detected by the FWcard on the PC which is an Audigy ... POOF! ...
NOW! he just bought a brand new SONY DCR HC21 and this one also is not been detected on the PC ....Vegas-MOVIE STUDIO 4 says, No decvice.... when he plugs the camera ( the new one ) on the LCD Display shows DVin but now the PC is not kicking in... no detection of the FW connection...

WHAT THE HELL is that????
One day they are fine and then poof! it won't detect the camera..

He brought the cameras here at my studio and they don't work!
Is it the AUDIGY burning the DV ?
Is it a Bug?
Is it a Drivers problem?

Three useless cameras is the final product!..LMAO!
$200 to fix the ZR100 LMAO...
Now a Brand New SOny is also showing the same problems. The Camera is one day old...Yesterday was fine and today it won't work..
I've never had this problem! ANY HELP!??? I have a DCR HC20 and the ZR85.. They all worked fine here but now my ZR85 that he used is useless..

I think he did an update of WinXP.
