FX Choices - Giving Some Color to Subject In Shade

Dear Group,

The sun is very bright but my subject is in the deep shade thus devoid of its good colors.
It's pretty much black.

What can i do to bring some of its colors to view?

The format is XAVC S HD 1080 Long-GOP 59.94P

How much camera movement is there?

You could put the video on two tracks, use the cookie cutter to show the shade part on the lower track then use Brightness/Contrast to lighten the shaded subject.

Have you tried playing with Levels, Colour Curves and, if necessary, Gamma and Gain? I'm assuming these are available in the Studio version.
