I was on Vegas Pro 14 Suite and upgraded to Vegas Pro 15
Yeah, looks familiar. Looks like you’d need to Register NB S/W with them. There should be a Register Software option. I do know NB have their own Software Manager for this purpose. Anyway, shoot of a Support Ticket to them. 😉
The Vegas Pro 14 bundle will have a watermark in Vegas Pro 15. If I ever get a build that will let it work in versions other than 14, I'll certainly make a new post in this forum.
I am not sure who is responsible for this issue (New Blue or Magix), but I upgraded Vegas in order to have faster rendering speeds. But now I have an even bigger problem, because I have to render in Vegas 15 and then render another time in Vegas 14 in order to add my Lower Thirds, since I can't do it on Vegas 15 without the watermark. Totally unsatisfied with my 200 dollar purchase.
I am having the same issue with my NEW BLUE FX and the NEW BLUE Transitions. I'm getting a watermark even though the software indicates it is registered.
@cspvideo without knowing exactly where the transitions you are referring to came from, it is quite possible that they were bundled with previous versions and should have a watermark in the current version. Please contact NewBlue support with more details in order for us to figure out exactly why you are seeing a watermark.
Unfortunately, these bundled plugins are a mess. After the Mercalli Stabilizer plugin that I bought with Vegas 14 suite not working with 15, even though I paid extra money to buy it for 14, I'd be hesitant to buy any bundled plugins with Vegas.. just buy the full version directly from the plugin manufacturer so you know it can be transferred across versions.
@fr0sty, I can tell you that the NewBlue products bundled with Vegas Pro 15 will work with any version of Vegas Pro because they are the full retail products. You get a full retail product serial number so they will work anywhere.
To reply, they are New Blue. I wrote to them. I have all the transitions I paid for. Apparently there are some demo fx which I did not purchase that came in a bundle that I bought directly from New Blue. It is basically an ad.
@cspvideo, I never said they weren't NewBlue. I just said without knowing which product installed them, it was impossible to determine whether or not they should be activated. Glad to hear you contacted NewBlue and got the answer.
In my case, the effects and transitions were in the software, just not where I was first looking. In essence they are there twice. I'm at work. When I get home, I'll do a screen capture. In one instance I get the watermark. In the other instance I do not. Where I see the watermark, it is actually a promo or demo of a package I do not own that sells the FX and transitions separately.
